The Other Art Fair

We had the pleasure of attending The Other Art Fair in Dallas. As hinted at by its name, this art fair is not just any art fair. Instead, it is one of the world’s leading artist fairs bringing art lovers of all experiences and tastes together with the best emerging artists. Let’s dive into the details of this immersive and unique experience!

The Other Art Fair prides itself on giving exposure to a wide variety of art from artists worldwide. The best part about this fair is that in addition to discovered artists, most are undiscovered. This allows the attendees and artists a chance to simply enjoy the art at the convention without worrying about status, name appeal, or societal expectations. The price range is also more accessible than numerous other art fairs. Thus, there is something for everyone, whether you are a seasoned buyer or you’re looking to jumpstart your art collection.

Presented by Saatchi Art, there were about 130 artists at the Dallas edition of The Other Art Fair. This was its 2nd year in Dallas, and it was hosted at the Dallas Market Hall. In addition to the artists present, there were excellent event happenings throughout the weekend.

The first event was for those who wanted something live to participate in, hosted by Deep Ellum’s Lewellyn Print Shop. Participants were able to customize their prints or purchase featured artists’ work. The second event was a guided tour led by curator Erin Remington, from Saatchi Art’s art Advisory Team. The goal was for participants to gain deeper insights and discover exciting new artists to invest in. Lastly, for those who were unable to attend in person, there was also a Gallery Exhibit online.

Additionally, The Other Art Fair Dallas partnered with Sweet Tooth Hotel, Dallas’ main experiential art exhibitor that features a pop-up immersive experience. Those who stayed here could explore the “Sunset Lounge,” an immersive installation based on an existential desert.
